AVOID THIS STINKHOLE AT ALL COSTS.

Unless you like: Hordes of immigrants in your face.  Disinterested employees.  Insanely dangerous parking lot full of angry Armenian contractors.

Head to Virgil's on Glendale Blvd., or the much better Home Depot up on Flower near Alameda.

My review is the same for all depots, but this one has way too many day laborers outside. I feel a little overwhelmed at times.

One of worst HD's I've been to, customer assistance is next to zero, disorganized aisles and materials all over the place, comparable ROSS in Alvarado & 3rd, might as well pick your items on the floor. Not coming back here at all.

They almost always have what you need.  Except for equipment rental.  Employees have gotten better over time, but they are tough to find sometimes.

We walked in looking for a specific part of a machine, and an employee who was just leaving to go home took the time to make sure we found what we were looking for. Excellent service!!!! The parking lot is HUGE

This home depot is terrible service wise. There's no one around.  And it's close to impossible to find anyone.  Go somewhere else!

This place isn't the greatest, but i love the selection of tools they have here. You can go here to rent the bigger tools also. This is the closer hardware store in the north east side of los angeles.. Watch out for all the homeless workers trying to get some work.

Used to be the home hardware and improvement store of first choice, now my last resort. [SUGGESTION: If someone gets you an HD gift certificate, trade it with someone for somthing useful. I am going to give it to my gardener.]
They did not get on top of the illegal labor problem and the parking lots are generally overflowing with so-called day laborers (who BTW have put men with families out of work, who are also "willing to work", but must pay for their licenses, and insurance - oh and of course TAXES, which illegals do not pay.). Yes, they sell fruit right out of the parking lot with no vendors license, no health permit and I assume Home Depot approves of this because they do nothing about it -YES, on THEIR property! These same people also habitually stop in the middle of the "road" to roll down their windows and talk with friends for a few minutes, fully aware they are backing people up behind them. No I am not kidding, and there will be a shooting over this some day.
The service is much like what you'd expect at the DMV, bare minimum. Usually no special knowledge is held by the workers anymore. Out of stock on a stuff. But, the good news is their workers usually speak english. Try Lowe's Burbank for the basics. OSH for specialty stuff like weird screws and connectors and stuff. DO NOT go to the HD in N. Hollywood on Sherman Way, it's EVEN WORSE!

Everyone's very helpful here.  They know where every odd ball item is located down to the aisle and side it's on.  HD can get very annoying when you're trying to find everything you need.  They have bulk packages for all your projects at a good price that are super usefull

The parking lot here is horrible. Almost every time I've been in this parking lot I've almost gotten into an accident, and once, as a passenger, some dude just backed up into us, denting the entire side of my friend's car. It's poorly designed and for some reason everyone loses their ability to drive in the parking lot.

Inside, everyone is pretty NOT helpful, with the exception of the locksmith operator -- who is always very quick and helpful. They have an awesome selection of custom keys there, including ones that light up in case where you live is dark and you need to see the keyhole at night better.

The hot dog stand outside ain't that great either.

Sorry, rome depot.
